Open Streets events promote community pride, local business, air quality, and physical activity, while encouraging the use of streets as a public space for the community to interact. Salt Lake City is excited to be hosting its 3rd Open Streets Event on May 5th, 2018 from 10am-4pm. This year, Salt Lake City will be highlighting the a downtown location; the event will take place on 200 South & West Temple and create a loop to 300 South & 200 West, with a lolly-pop to Pioneer Park. The goal for Open Streets is to temporarily open these city streets exclusively to walking, jogging, bicycling, rollerblading, and more. This event will engage the community in a variety of activities including exercise and dance classes, yoga, sports, music performances, outdoor art projects, local food trucks, beer gardens, family-friendly fun and much much more.
